What's not to love when pig and whiskey come together in sweet, sweet matrimony. I give you, Barrel and Rye. The spot is an intimate, well structured, perfect place for great bourbon drinks like their proper AF old fashion or Manhattan. Now good drinks aside, the food here is unreal. They have a chicken sandwich that would make Ron Swanson tear up. Also the steak salad is the best I have ever had. Much love to the team at B + R, and it is always a watering oasis just feet from the Geneva Metra station and by the time you get there, a proper drink is order and luckily just across the street.
